Highly collectible and absolutely gorgeous!
This set by Boucher is a great example of some of the designer’s most collectible pieces. Boucher was trained in Paris at Cartier and designed for Mazer before branching off on his own. The Boucher name is known for exceptional quality and attention to detail. The superb condition of this set is a true testament to the quality of workmanship commonly found with this designer’s work. For a book reference of this piece, see pages 48 & 49 of Fred Rezazadeh’s ‘Costume Jewelry, A Practical Handbook and Value Guide’ and pg. 314 of ‘Collecting Costume Jewelry 202’ by Julia C. Carroll.
This stunning gold plated brooch and earring set consists of a peacock design and is decorated in highly reflective sapphire blue enamel and blue and green crystals. The tips of the feathers have faux jade colored bullet glass cabochons which is echoed in the the main stones in the earrings.
