This is stunning!
A mix of blue glass beads are individually joined together to create this detailed and intricate sea blue glass beaded necklace. There are molded fire polished beads with an iridescent coating, faceted glass beads, and a variety of handmade lampwork beads. There are three types of silver or white gold foil beads. This includes bumpy chicklets, flattened ovals in deep blue, and the big round aqua cased ones at the front of the piece. Adding to the texture and interest of this piece are white baroque style faux pearl glass or ceramic beads with an iridescent coating. The clasp is set with a big light blue glass moonglow cabochon within a textured gold plated setting. A really special and highly attractive beaded necklace! C. 1965.
Signed: The back of the clasp has some kind of marking but it has not been determined if this is a designer mark or not.
Size: 17″ long. The biggest bead is about 5/8″ in diameter
Condition: Very good! The metal connectors between the beads shows discoloration.
